Do you use a Smart Device like a smart phone, tablets, ipads, etc? Do you check your emails, send & receive text messages, files, documents, pictures, even Bank & Business transactions, money transfers or better still use the internet or download applications?
The growth of technology with the introduction of these devices has greatly improved the way we transact Business and simply keep in touch; whether its sending that quick email whiles in the car to work, giving real time updates via pictures and videos on on-going projects or transactions, keeping up with family away from home, taking memorable personal privates shots, etc we simply cannot do without these smart devices.
But are you aware of the threats associated with the use of these devices to your Business and Personal / Private Life?
Recent reports suggest users of these Smart Devices especially Business Executives have become targets for criminals, fraudsters, business competitors, corporate insiders, ex-lovers, former bosses, etc in defrauding, framing, installer hijacking, documentary fraud, impersonating, and even defamation by posting private data unto the internet.
It is on this premise that the Ghana Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) is partnering with e-Crime Bureau to organize this one day workshop to expose participants to the emerging threats targeting ushers of these devices and to equip them with the best measures as well as Security encryption tools to secure these devices.
