3RD BRAZILIAN TRADE MISSION TO GHANA HELD IN ACCRA
The Third Brazilian Multi-Sectoral Trade Mission to Ghana has been held to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
The Trade Mission was aimed at connecting Brazilian companies to potential Ghanaian partners and host buyers from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Republic of Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Togo.
The Mission was organised by CECIEx and Apex Brasil, through the Brazilian Suppliers Project with support from Sao Paulo Chamber of Commerce and The Embassy of Brazil in Accra, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and B2B Africa.
The event which was targeted at importers, distributors, wholesalers, local businesses and government agencies to discussed and explored possibilities of mutually beneficial trade relationships.
The three-day event saw a boost in trade relations between both countries through new business partnerships and the existence of old ones.
Mr Stephan Miezan, the 2nd Vice President of the GNCCI, speaking to participants at the opening ceremony, said the mission was important as it would allow participants to explore business opportunities and build networks.
He also recommended that proper procedures are followed in doing business in Ghana.
“Our message is simple, for every natural resource, there are processes, we are requesting that the Brazilian business community to follow at least two of the processes in Ghana before we export to Brazil," he said.
The mission took place from Monday, April 11 to Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
Targeted Sector are Food & Beverage, Cosmetics & Personal Care, Home & Construction and Furniture.
Others are Safety & Health, Logistics & Trading, Machines and Equipment for micro and Agro-industries from different sectors and Retail.
