The 3rd Chamber Business Awards Questionnaire

Introduction

The 3rd Chamber Business Awards is an initiative of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) to celebrate the very best and finest of Ghanaian businesses and personalities who have demonstrated excellence in business practice.

This questionnaire has been developed to elicit information about your business to enable the Technical Committee assess the submitted entries in line with the the seven (7) criteria of the awards. The reference period for the awards is 2018, but the financial performance and tax compliance criteria should be a three-year period (2016 – 2018) to enable the Chamber award the most deserving businesses for 2018.

Vetting of nominations and shortlisting of nominees based on this questionnaire will be done by the Awards Planning and Selection Committee. Final selection will be done by the Technical Select Committee made up of professionals from government and private sector institutions. Your candid response to the following questions is of utmost importance to the success of the awards selection process. Please be assured of data confidentiality.

The awards ceremony is slated for Saturday, 23rd November, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre, Accra at 6:00pm.

BUSINESS PROFILE

CRITERIA 1: THOUGHT LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENTS

This section captures your institution’s public and/or personality engagement(s) on issues that are of business and national interests in the year under review (2018). It includes presentations and/or talks delivered to a targeted audience, radio and/or television interviews, and blogs/articles written on a relevant topic. The responses, with emphasis on online (web, social media, etc) and offline (print), are to be supported with the corresponding materials/references. Each row corresponds to an activity. 

Note: those competing for personality awards should extend the completion to section “b”.

CRITERIA 2: INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY

CRITERIA 3: EMPLOYMENT  CREATION & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

This section focuses on employment creation and people management by your institution. There are five (5) items that require your responses and additional information per each item. The responses are to be supported with the corresponding materials.

CRITERIA 4: SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

This section seeks to examine your institution’s commitment/initiatives towards sound environmental management. The responses are to be supported with the corresponding materials/references.

CRITERIA 5: CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

This section examines your institution’s commitment to undertaking corportate social responsibility within Ghana. It focuses on special projects undertaken to positively impact the social well-being in the area of your operation. The responses are to be supported with the corresponding evidence.

CRITERIA 6: CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

This section explores customer relationship management of businesses. Kindly provide the appropriate response and attach the relevant supporting materials/references.

CRITERIA 7: FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE & TAX COMPLIANCE

This final section focuses on financial performance and tax compliance for the period 2016 – 2018.
